Six Word Two-Fer

Last free weekend before school begins.

I put this together last night, then woke up this morning to a glorious sight: cloudy weather! So was born the two-fer.

At long last, we’re getting rain!

So nice to get some late summer showers! I too, woke up to rain this morning...albeit a short rainfall. It was heavenly while it lasted. (:> ;)

I love Autumn and I do think it is just around the corner!

In a lot of ways, I probably prefer summer to fall, but it's just been unbearably hot this year, and so, so dry. It was really nice to get a decent rain finally.

Yay for you, too, then! So many places need rain so badly. We didn't get enough to totally get us out of the drought, but it was still really nice.

Yeah, I am really glad we got some rain, and honestly, really glad the temperatures have dropped from 100+ degrees, but it wouldn't have bothered me at all if summer proper stuck around a little bit longer. I think we are well on our way to fall now.

Yes, it was a nice, calm rain this weekend. No huge thunderclaps or blinding strikes of lightening, just a very welcome rain. And I'm not getting any younger, so I figure if I'm going to ever get myself a degree, it better be soon. ;-)

Scary is exactly what it is--so much drought all over the place, with all of its inherent problems. I hope we can get back on the road to normal soon.

We've had it off and on over the weekend. I think we're supposed to get some today. I personally love it because I generally forget to water my garden! =/
