I’m Ba-a-a-ck!

Hello, gentle readers, and welcome to July! It’s been a long time since I’ve been here, and if you’re still here checking in from time to time, thank you.  And if you’re new here, thank you, too!  I was actually going to take a peek and see what date I posted my last entry, but I don’t think I really want to be depressed right now.

I’m dropping back in now because I’ve missed being here, and also because today marks the beginning of the Ultimate Blog Challenge.  I’ve done this particular challenge a time or two in the past and I’ve usually had fun, so I thought I’d give it another try.

The new month also marks the beginning of another photo prompt list from Fat Mum Slim, so I thought I’d see if I could get back to that, too.  Lots of fun to look forward too.

But it’s also kind of terrifying.  It really has been a while since I’ve blogged regularly, and even longer since I did much with photographs beyond taking a snapshot with my phone.  But I guess that’s what these challenges are all about, bringing people outside their comfort zone just a little bit, so I’m going to go ahead and jump in.  After all, what is there to lose?  A little face, maybe?

Maybe, but I might as well give it a shot.  So do drop back in here from time to time, where I’ll be chatting about whatever crosses my mind on any given day, and sharing my challenge photos, too.  If you’re interested in reading more about the July challenges, you can find the details here and here.  Read all about the fun, and maybe even join in—like the very best games, they’re more fun when lots of people play along.  In the meantime, happy blogging and snapping to you all, and mostly just happy July!

Snapshot Sunday, December 8

I have pretty much done nothing all day, so why is it that I’m just now getting around to this?  Procrastination at its finest, I suppose.  And, technically, I suppose I didn’t do nothing; I did quite a bit of holiday shopping.  All online from the comfort of my couch, but shopping just the same.  There will be some evidence of that later on.  But for now, let’s take a look at the photos, shall we?

2. Where I Stood

Prompt:  Where I Stood.  It’s nowhere exciting, since I stand here every morning to brush my teeth, but I do like my fuzzy rug and my fuzzy slippers.

3. Silver

Prompt:  Silver.  Like I said last week, I think a lot of this month’s prompts were written with a holiday theme in mind, but there are other things going on this month besides Christmas.  And, anyway, I haven’t put up my decorations yet!

4. Tiny

Prompt:  Tiny.  This is one of my furry friends, Tiny.

5. In the Cupboard

Prompt:  In the Cupboard.  This is just some of the stuff in the cupboard that we’re going to give up almost entirely to install our new oven.  I hate to lose the storage space, but I am looking forward to a new appliance.

6. Shadow

Prompt:  Shadow.  It occurred to me as I was taking this picture that I might have taken it before.  I know we’ve had a shadow prompt before, and I know I think this is sort of a cool shadow, so it could well be a duplicate.  Oh, well.

7. 6 O'Clock

Prompt:  6 O’Clock.  Well, you know the drill:  A time prompt is almost certainly never going to be captured at the AM hour.  And at 6:00PM, I was at Papa Murphy’s getting dinner.  By the way, I tried their new pan pizza, and it was yummy.

8. I Shop Here

Prompt:  I Shop Here.  Told you we’d get around to my shopping spree.  Like most everyone, I shop at Amazon for a lot of stuff (though they let me down on a pair of shoes I wanted to order today, but that’s sort of beside the point).  Anyway, a while back I got an email introducing Amazon Smile.  When you shop at that particular site, a small portion of your shopping gets funneled into a worthy cause of your choice.  I’m not entirely sure how it works, as Amazon was quick to point out that selection and pricing remains the same as at their flagship site, and from the item comparisons I made, it seems that’s correct.  Still, however it works, I’m willing to go to slightly different site to somehow cause a donation, no matter how small.

And that’s it for this first full week back to the photo a day challenge.  I was glad I managed to keep up at least these first few days; we’ll see how the rest of the month goes as things really start getting hectic.

I am off to bed now; pleasant dreams to you all and a good Monday, too.

Snapshot Sunday, December 1

What?  Snapshot Sunday?  Did you think maybe you’d stepped into some sort of time warp when you saw that?  I sort of did when I wrote it.  But, it’s almost the end of the year, time to move into other things as the new year rolls around, and since it’s been many months since I’d played along with Chantelle’s Photo a Day Challenge, I thought I’d try and end the year getting back into some of the fun.

Of course, the end of the year is a busy time of year, not to mention I’ve got finals in a couple of weeks and still a bit of homework to do before buckling down to study for them, so even though finding a daily picture will be just one more thing to do, I’m hoping it will also serve as a bit of a distraction from some of the hectic bits.DECEMBER-PHOTO-A-DAY

So, first, a look at this month’s prompt list:

Looks like some fun things, appropriately heavy on the holiday focus, though maybe it’ll be more fun to diverge from that just a little bit now and then.  We’ll see.

So, let’s get this party started with the first picture of the month, with a prompt of RED.

1. Red

Nope, no holiday theme to start the month for me, just some juicy red fruit sitting on my countertop.

And, that’s it for this week’s return to Snapshot Sunday.  We’ll see what the camera finds in the coming days.

Snapshot Sunday, July 21

Photography word cloud 7-22-13

I love taking pictures, I really do.  And I especially love taking pictures of things that aren’t just “events”—you know, birthdays, vacations, holidays, etc.  I like to just snap photos of the things I see around me in life.  That’s why the photo-a-day challenge really appeals to me, because it gives me a reason to take at least one photo every day, and even gives me some direction on the kinds of things I should be on the lookout for.  Sometimes people need some encouragement to be creative.  Or at least I do.

What I don’t like, though, is when I feel swamped by life, which makes me feel like I have no time to be creative.  I used to write pretty regularly in a couple of fandoms, now this blog is the only writing I manage to keep up.  And, I used to enjoy playing around with editing the photos I would take, seeing if I could improve them or just shake things up a little bit, but now I click the shutter and hardly even go back to look at the picture once it’s taken.  That is no fun at all.  But I suppose it is life; the things we enjoy don’t always get to be the things we spend the most time on.  How horribly unfair.

Still, I haven’t given up on photography entirely.  I’m still snapping the daily photo (at least most days), and even more often than that things that I see make me think of a photograph.  I don’t always have a chance to take them, but I’m always glad to know that I haven’t quit noticing the fleeting moments, even if I don’t always take the time to capture them for posterity.  So even in the overwhelm of life, creativity never completely fades away.  Thank goodness.

How do you keep up with the things that are important to you, even when life gets in the way?

Just one of the random photos in my files that I’ve always sort of liked.

Snapshot Sunday, July 14

So, there will be no photo-a-day pictures this week.  I took them (though I have an inkling I missed one day somewhere along the week, but I’m not certain), but I usually pull them all off my phone and/or camera and edit them all on Sunday.  Because, after all, Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, right?  Unfortunately, I took a bit of a rest day yesterday, sort of a mental health day.  Which means I pretty much ditched my homework and most everything else that needed doing.  Oh, I did a tiny bit of my Juvenile Law reading, and I worked quite a bit on stuff for our new Paralegal Club, but beyond that, pretty much nothing.  And what I really didn’t do was all the math homework I needed to be doing.   Consequently, I had a lot of catching up to do today.

math 7-15-13

So, this is what I’ve been doing all day.  I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it, but math and I do not really get along; my brain just doesn’t work properly for equations and rules and solving for X or whatever.  Today’s chapter was probabilities, and even after a solid day of reading the text, working through the homework assignments, and going over countless examples, I still could not tell you a single thing about them.  Except that maybe if I’d known how to calculate probability a few months ago I could’ve used that knowledge to calculate the odds that taking this stupid course would totally jack up my GPA.  That might have been a useful application.  Though, in truth, I’ve surprised myself so far by managing to hold on to an A in the class, but I’ve still got a couple more quizzes and a test to get through, and only a 95% average so far.  I’d feel better if I had a few more percentage points to play with, since I am seriously lost on this crap we’re doing right now.

Anyway, the whole point, of course, is that no pictures got edited or even moved from their current storage location, so they will have to wait until next week.  Because while I’ve finished with the math for now, I’ve still got to get back to the juvenile law stuff that I only sort of read over yesterday, and then answer the fifty or so questions that go along with it.  Fun times.

Oh, I do have one other photo to share—a picture from someone on Facebook that amused me.

law degrees 7-15-13

If you’ve been around here much, you know I’m not given to too many political statements, but this made me laugh.  Now, don’t get me wrong; like most of America—and certainly most of my Facebook friend list—I’ve got an opinion about the George Zimmerman verdict.  However, unlike many of my Facebook friends, I have not been posting it all over the web for the world to see and argue over.  And the one reason I haven’t shared my opinion is because I recognize that I don’t really have the facts to back it up.  And that’s true for most people.  The media gives us bits and pieces, and even if you could trust all of those pieces to be 100% accurate—which is unlikely—you still wouldn’t have all that facts about any given situation.  Only the people in that courtroom know what really went on.  Not that being in a courtroom guarantees you all the facts, of course.  In fact, it probably guarantees that some facts won’t be made known to you.  But, it does (mostly) guarantee that all the facts that are legally relevant to the case are known to you, and that’s the piece of the puzzle that I don’t even pretend to have.  So, while I might have an opinion based on emotion or gut instinct, that’s not really good enough when it comes to casting a verdict.  And that’s why my opinion about the verdict isn’t being broadcast all over social media.  And that’s why this picture gave me a chuckle.

And now I’m back to a bit more homework before I absolutely must turn in.  I felt like I caught up on a little bit of sleep this weekend, so I’d hate to start the week off putting myself right back into a deficit.  The summer session only has a couple more weeks to go, so I need to stay rested to make it through the final push.

I hope you all have a great week ahead.

Snapshot Sunday, July 8

I have to say, the thing I might dislike most about having a job again is that Sunday night feeling.  You know, the one where you feel like your moments of freedom have dwindled to nothing and the next break you’re going to have is far too far in the future.  Still, it’s all part of the workaday world, and this was a really good weekend, so at least I put my moments of freedom to good use.

As for this week’s photos, some of them are sort of cheats, but more about that later.

1. Happiness Is

Prompt: Happiness Is . . . Notwithstanding what I said earlier about the whole Sunday night thing, I have to admit that it feels pretty good to be drawing a paycheck again.  Not for the money, which is certainly nothing to write home about, but just because it seems like that’s what people do.

2. Shoes

Prompt:  Shoes.  One of the first things I do when I get home from work each day is kick off my shoes, even if they’re not particularly uncomfortable.  And, they usually stay right in that same spot until the next time I want to wear them, even though “that spot” is rarely the place they actually belong.

3. Cold

Prompt:  Cold.  One of the semi-cheats, since I took this a day late.  Still, what’s a day between friends?  Anyway, this was my first attempt at making a fruit slush—pina colada flavored—and I have to say it was not only refreshing on such a hot afternoon, but it was also quite tasty.

4. Red White or Blue

Prompt:  Red White and/or Blue.  It’s nice of Chantelle to think of us when making her prompts, even though she’s in Australia and probably not the least bit concerned with the 4th of July.  This was part of our festive table wear for the occasion.

5. Love

Prompt:  Love.  Me and Brian.  Another cheat, and this one a double-whammy: taken a day early, and (as you might have guessed) I didn’t even take it.  Too bad; I’m using it anyway.  I did take a photo of us on the 6th (a day too late for this prompt), but I never got one on the 5th, even though it was our anniversary.  I tried at the theatre, but my aim was off and it turned out to be a picture of just Brian.  Well, at least, it was part of Brian.  All in all, this one is a much better choice.

6. Fave Smell

Prompt: Favorite Smell.  And one last cheat to round out the week, this is a recycle from last year’s challenge.  The prompt then was “smell you adore”, and while I can’t say for certain that baking bread is absolutely my favorite smell, it’s certainly way up there.  The vast majority of my time the day of this prompt was spent in an outdoor stadium in 90+ degree heat with about 65,000 other people.  Believe me when I tell you that there weren’t really any smells there that were particularly enjoyable.

And that brings this week to a close, which means it’s time for me to head off to bed.  Past time, really, but that’s what happens sometimes.  I hope you all enjoy your new week, even if you do have to go back to the workaday world like this working stiff.

Snapshot Sunday, June 30

It’s sort of hard for me to believe, but another entire week has gone by without taking a picture of anything.  I know for a lot of people, that’s pretty much the norm—only taking photos at special events and such—but I don’t want to be that.  I want to snap pictures of daily life, whatever and whenever strikes my fancy.  But even though I usually have my camera with me (and always have my phone with me), I rarely seem to take pictures these days.  Certainly it’s a function of time and energy; I’m always either doing something, or preparing to do something, or crashing into a stupor from pure exhaustion.  Still, what kind of fun is that?

So, even though I failed miserably at this month’s photo a day challenge, I’ve downloaded the July list, and hope to be at least a little more successful this time around.  We’ll see.

JULY-PHOTO-CHALLENGE-LIST

But, while I was reminiscing this past week about the whole STAR saga, I was also browsing through some old photos.  I logged into my SmugMug account to look at the Hollywood pictures, but took a couple of minutes to look over some of my other galleries too.  (As a quick aside, if you’re looking for a good online hosting site for your photos, SmugMug gets my vote for sure:  easy to use, nice features, and unlimited storage, all at a very reasonable price.  And, no, I don’t get anything for that little blurb, either, just an honest opinion of a service I enjoy.)

Anyway, I was looking at some of my pictures, including an album from a trip we took to Minnesota three or four years ago.  There are a lot of scenery pictures—some of them pretty decent, if I do say so myself—and even some family photos, but the one that jumped out at me was something silly.  We were just driving around town in Duluth and seeing what there was to see, and I was snapping a few pictures here and there. Of course, photos snapped from the passenger seat of a moving vehicle typically don’t turn out all that great—and this one’s not really an exception to that rule—but they often capture simple moments that would otherwise be forgotten in the midst of all the “real” things that were seen along the way.

So it is with this quick shot that caught my attention when I saw it in real life, and has brought back the moment each time I’ve looked at the picture.  There was just something about this pensive face, looking out the window of a rundown building, watching to see what was going on in the world outside.  I wondered what he was thinking about, if he would rather have been outside chasing our passing car, if he knew we were strangers in his town, if he preferred that upstairs vantage point to something on the first floor or that’s just where he happened to be.  Maybe he was waiting for his owner to come home; that would explain why he barely moved when we drove by; he would know the car he was waiting to see.  Maybe when that particular car pulls onto the street, the pensive face takes on a whole new expression and the eyes light up while the tail starts wagging and he runs from the window, bounding joyfully down the steps to greet his owner at the door.  I like to think that’s what happens, but even if it does, I still wonder what he thinks about until that special car pulls into view, and what sorts of things has he seen from his upstairs perch.

Snapshot Sunday, June 16

Well, here we are at the end of another weekend, and I’m once again going to bed without accomplishing nearly everything I had hoped to.  Oh, well, you can only do what you can do, right?  All the must-dos got done, and even a couple of the should-dos, so I guess I’ll call it a win.

Let’s get going with this week’s pictures and then I’ll head off to dream land to get ready to start another long week.  As always, photo prompts are provided by Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim.

9. From Down Low

Prompt:  From down low.  Underneath my favorite tree, a mimosa. (Which is just starting to bloom, yay!)

10. You!

Prompt:  You! Hard at work in my new office.  Well, not really.  And, it’s not really my office, yet, either.  I’m still the odd man out until the girl I’m replacing actually has her last day, which will be around the end of July.

11. Something Funny

Prompt:  Something funny.  Two of my classmates, Chancee and Laura.  They always make me laugh.

12. 11 O'clock

Prompt: 11 O’clock.  Proofreading a response to some motion or another.

13. Kitchen

Prompt:  Kitchen.  Okay, technically, this is the break room at work.  But, it’s where we prepare our lunches and eat them, so I say that’s like a work kitchen, right?  Though this wasn’t lunch time, but a birthday celebration.  The young girl on the left is Calley, the birthday girl; she’s the one training me to take over her position.  And the other is Tara, our case manager.

14. Texture

Prompt:  Texture.  It’s probably not exactly proper to say so, but I like this picture; I’m pleased with how it turned out.

15. From Above

Prompt:  From above.  Okay, this one is a cheat, since I took this photo almost two years ago.  But it’s one of my favorite “above” pictures, taken from a tiny (terrifying!) sea plane above Vancouver and the surrounding mountains and glaciers.  I have to say that I’m glad I overcame my terror and took the flight; it was beautiful up there, and one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.

And that’s the photos for this past week.  Drop by Chantelle’s site for the full list if you’d like to play along; I like to see other people’s pictures, too.  So now, goodnight, and a wish for a great week ahead for all of you.

Snapshot Sunday, June 9

Having only been back at the work gig for a week, is it too early to say that the weekends are too short?  Probably wouldn’t seem that way if I wasn’t stressing over school already; have I mentioned how much I really don’t get along with math?  Even the easy stuff.  But I’m plugging along, trying to get a tiny bit ahead so when the real workload kicks in in the other classes, I won’t be totally overwhelmed.

But, enough of that.  I have to go in to work a bit early tomorrow (yeah, after only one week!), and I need to get to bed soon, so let’s take a look at this week’s pictures.  I have to say, I’m not particularly thrilled with some of them, but it was fun to be looking around to take a picture every day again.  Thanks to Chantelle for the prompts.

2. A moment

Prompt:  A moment.  I went out for a short walk, and over the crunch of the gravel, I heard singing.  Looking around, I saw this little guy.  Of course I had to stop to watch and listen for a minute.

3. On my table

Prompt:  On my table.  This is what’s on my school table today—and probably every day for the next couple of months.  I mentioned that I’m not really a fan, right?

4. After dark

Prompt:  After dark.  Apparently not too many people want to spend their summer weeknights at school.  The place is like a ghost town.

5. Environment

Prompt:  Environment.  Part of our new backyard environment after last week’s storm knocked this poor old thing to its knees.

6. Transport

Prompt:  Transport.  I think the picture speaks for itself in terms of the daily prompt, but Brian is not only a car guy in general, but a Chevelle guy in particular.  I thought he’d appreciate this.

7. Bright

Prompt:  Bright.  The final moments of brightness before night claims the sky.

8. An animal

Prompt:  An animal.  This is Dreamsicle, one of our kittens.

And that’s a wrap on my first full week of photo a day.  Fun times.  Let’s see what’s next.

Snapshot Sunday, June 2

So, my new job starts tomorrow and my classes begin again on Tuesday.  (My on-campus classes, anyway; I’ve already started my online class this weekend, trying to get a head start.)  Anyway, it dawned on me Friday that I had let my last day of solitary freedom—Thursday—pass by without any sort of fanfare or savoring of final moments.  Brian was off work Friday, and it’s always nice to have an extra day to spend together, but I know I’ve mentioned many times how critical it is for me to have my alone time for the sake of my sanity.  My best-guess calculations say I might get one hour per night after Brian goes to bed before I also have to hit the sack, three days per week when I don’t have school.  We’ll see if that works out.

Anyway, while I was thinking about that, and trying to reassure myself that plenty of people work and go to school without going crazy, I decided maybe I should try the photo a day challenge again.  It may be that it will turn out to be too much for me, and if so, I’ll stop again, but I’m going to give it a try.

So, for at least a month (I hope!), Snapshot Sunday will go back to being a collection of my weekly PaD images, Sunday-Saturday.  To begin, here’s the prompt list, and my first day installment.

IMG_2747[1]

As always, the fun prompts—and the image to go with them—are brought to us by Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim.

1. B is for

Prompt:  B is for—broken, as in the broken branch that’s currently blocking part of our drive and laying it’s tippy-top on our roof.

And that’s the small start, but it is a start.  And now, in keeping with my pledge to try and get a decent amount of sleep even though I will have to start getting up before the crack of dawn (literally), I will watch the news and weather forecast, and then I will turn in.  Happy new week to you all.

Snapshot Sunday, February 24

Wowser.  I’ve been staring at textbooks, homework assignments, and computer screens off and on all weekend, and today, it’s been mostly “on”.  So, I finally printed off the last of some petitions and summons that I needed to finish up for this week and looked at the clock and realize it’s almost 5am.  It’s no wonder I was having such a hard time with my spelling and sentence structure.  Besides being awful late, I took my pain pill sometime right around midnight.  I think I did doze off for a few minutes sitting here with the laptop, but not long enough to really interrupt anything.  Still, I do need to think about getting some sleep, though there’s at least a small possibility classes will be cancelled tonight because of a winter storm that’s rolling into the state.  Can’t entirely count on that, though, so I’ll post this week’s photos and then crash for a few hours.  Not a single one of these have been edited in any way (well, except for one that was cropped way down), so this is just what you get straight out of my phone.

IMG_2483[1]

Prompt:  In your hand.  Last Sunday’s dinner, carried in piping hot.  Yum.

IMG_2490[1]

Prompt:  Something you don’t like.  See that post right there?  And can you see just the tiniest smidgen of black just on the left hand side of it? That’s my teacher’s arm back there.  Of course, the rest of her is there, too, but I can rarely see her.  I hate that post.

IMG_2493[1]

Prompt:  I am . . . not a morning person!  Just leave me snuggled up a little while longer, please.

IMG_2496[1]

Prompt:  Where you stood.  Back out at a spot by the lake during some rain/sleet we got last week.  Yucky day, but it’s good to see the water levels coming up.

IMG_2501[1]

Prompt:  Full.  Hah.  This is my overflowing trash bag in my car.

IMG_2512[1]

Prompt:  Makes you smile.  Watching the feed of the pretty owl, Mrs. Tiger.  See that tiny little white fluff underneath her?  That’s her day-old baby, Tigris.  There’s another one now; its name is Teegra.  I love watching this little family, and it definitely makes me smile.

IMG_2519[1]  Prompt:  Word.  I mentioned all the homework this weekend, right?  Guess which subject?

And that’s it for this week.  The rain that is supposed to turn to snow this afternoon is just moving into our area; I hear the thunder rumbling across the skies.  That’ll make nice sleeping weather.

Oh, and if you’ve been thinking that you might like to start playing along with photo a day, we are coming up on a new month, and the March list was just posted.  Drop over to Fat Mum Slim and check it out.

Monday, February 18, 2013

Snapshot Sunday, February 17

Okay, I’m pretty sure it’s wrong of me to be annoyed that Brian has been sick so long, so I guess I should explain at least a little bit.  You see, as the week has progressed, I’ve become increasingly convinced that the crud he’s fighting is actually the flu.  And why is that annoying?  Because when we were at the ER Wednesday, they did a swab test and told him that whatever bug he was dealing with was absolutely not the flu.  What I’ve come to find since then, however, is that while those rapid tests are typically pretty accurate at confirming influenza, they are not so great at accurately ruling it out.  The downside to that, of course, is that if the doctors don’t think you have the flu, they don’t give you flu treatment, but send you home with headache pills and instructions to ride it out.  And the downside to that?  Well, in this particular case, a whiny patient who’s whiny an extra few days because he didn’t get the medicine that might’ve helped at speed up the recovery.  I’m hoping we might be on the downhill slide, but he really is feeling pretty cruddy, so even the downhill slide might last another 4 or 5 days.  And, even if I am a little annoyed by the whole thing, I really do feel bad for the guy.  I think I’ve mentioned that I had the flu once in my lifetime, and I have to admit it was a pretty miserable experience.

But, now, let’s forget about illness for a while and take a look at this week’s photos.

10. 3 O'Clock

Prompt:  3 O'clock.  Working on some Phi Theta Kappa stuff, watching a video and working my way through something called Five Star Competitive Edge.

11. Entrance

Prompt:  Entrance.  The driveway entrance—lions and all—to a big ol’ house I drive by every day on my way to school.

12. Where You Ate Lunch

Prompt:  Where you ate lunch.  IHOP.  On Tuesday and Thursday, I have a really long break between my classes, but not long enough to make it worth the drive home.  That means you can frequently find me lunching on eggs and/or pancakes and getting in some extra studying.

13. Walking

Prompt:  Walking.  Pretty much the only walking I’ve been doing of late is moving around the house in my comfy slippers.  Well, of course, I do also walk from the parking lot to my classroom, but taking a photo of that is not nearly as convenient, considering I’m always lugging around an extra fifteen pounds of books.

14. Love Is

Prompt:  Love is.  Love is many things, including finishing off an exhausting school day with a stop at Wal-Mart to scour the medicine aisle, hoping to find something that will make your significant other feel just a little bit better.

15. Inside Your Fridge

Prompt:  Inside your fridge.  I don’t really think my fridge is all that exciting, just a little bit of this and that, like most people.

15. Perfect

Prompt:  Perfect.  Perfectly beautiful weather.  Well, in truth, it was a little bit chilly, but it was a perfectly sunshiny day, and not too bad for winter.

And that, dear friends, is a wrap.  If you’re itching to take a few pictures yourself, drop on by Fat Mum Slim for the prompt list and play along.

If you’ve got the day off tomorrow, enjoy your holiday.  But, either way, I vote we make it the best new week we possibly can.
